El Palo Alto Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, was organized November 1912 at Stanford University by wives of Stanford professors. Today, the chapter has grown to over 90 members residing in the Silicon Valley and meeting at different venues in the Palo Alto area. The chapter members are committed to work in the community actively supporting the Palo Alto VA Hospital veteran patients, promoting patriotism through involvement with local schools, participating in national holiday parades, and promoting Constitution Week. Chapter members support DAR schools, veterans, the President General and State Regent's projects.
